The Characters

Darlene owns and runs the Double D Ranch. She is smart, savvy and quick with a pistol, if push comes to shove. She likes to keep a hard exterior when it comes to outsiders, but really has a caring soul, often helping out anyone in need, even if it causes her trouble in the end. She can be quite stubborn, especially when it comes to matters that affect her loved ones or the ranch. Darlene is truly the glue that holds these others together. She will do whatever is necessary to keep morale high on the Ranch. She inherited the Double D Ranch from her father. She was his only child and her mother died when she was very young, so he raised Darlene to be able to run the ranch efficiently after he passed.	Annie is a tall, lean brunette who is deadly accurate with a rifle. She is very quiet and reserved and only speaks up when there is really something worth saying. While she is tight-lipped, she has a great deal of respect for the other girls, especially Darlene. She would do anything to protect the others or the ranch. Annie lets her looks and her actions speak for her. When she sets her eyes on a man, she knows just how to show off her assets and dispense the right looks to get him back to her bunk.	Abigail Mae is a sweet, naive and precocious young cook. She's blonde, full-bodied, and the youngest of the girls (she is in her late-teens). She loves food and enjoys cooking. She has no skill when it comes to ranching or fighting, but she is the best cook around, so she earns her keep in the kitchen (where she often sneaks an extra treat or two). Abigail Mae is very curious and regularly lets her curiosity get the better of her, especially when it comes to men and sex. She always seems perky and cheery. Abigail Mae grew up in a very sheltered environment, but now that she is out "on her own" she wants to live life to its fullest.	Maddie's parents named her Madeline Victoria Brisbane and had great aspirations of forming her into a high society, prim and proper "lady". However, all of their teaching and training backfired on them. Maddie quickly showed that she was going to grow up to be a true tomboy. She's more athletic and muscular than the other girls and she is very skilled with a knife. She does a great deal of the ranch's true physical work. She is bold and brash in both words and deeds. Maddie often lets her temper get the better of her, but is also a big cut-up. She is a braggart and a jokester and tries to keep the other girls laughing when she can. Maddie never backs down from a fight, whether it be against man or woman. She views sex as another form of conquest and is always looking to one up anyone else.
